Important Notes when Applying via OSTA (For International Students) 【NEWS】NOW RECRUITING: Special Room Fees offered for the AY2024 Spring Dorm RAs We are now recruiting the AY2024 Spring Dorm Resident Assistants at the MIV. Students enrolled until March, 2025 onwards capable to fulfill their 1-year Dorm RA duties are all welcome to apply. Selected students will get the privilege to stay at one of the bigger size 15m2 shared type rooms at the fees below: <MIV Dorm RA Room Fees (C/D/R/S type unit) > ・Entrance/Renewal Fee: JPY51,800 ・Accommodation Fee: JPY 39,800/month *Monthly utilities fees and maintenance fees to be charged at the ordinary price. <MIV Dorm RA Application Info.>(Application due by 2024/1/4) For further details, please check the following website. For those who have Underlying Conditions: Some room at Mejirodai International Village share kitchens, laundries, lavatories, shower rooms etc. For those with underlying medical conditions (diabetes, serious heart conditions, chronic lung disease (asthma,COPD, etc.), please be sure to check the accommodation facilities before applying. Your choice at the time of application will need to be made at your own responsibility and no room changes will be accepted after room assignment. Students with underlying medical conditions wanting to apply for one of the shared type rooms at the Mejirodai International Village are asked to provide their health information in the “Notes” column of the application form. All fees will be charged based on your permitted term of residence that is to be printed on your "Notification of Admission." ■ The Payment of your Rent at the MIV All fees at the MIV are to be prepaid by the 25th day of each prior month. Therefore, you will be required to prepare the following amount at the time of your move-in date. Entrance Fee + Mattress Cover Fee + (Monthly Accommodation Fee + Monthly Maintenance Fee + Monthly Utilities Fee) x 2 months Relocation from International Lodges/International Halls of Residence to the MIV: If you are relocating from one of the International Lodges/International Halls of Residence to the MIV, specify so in the "Notes" of your application so that you may be allowed to move-in to the MIV at the end of your original permitted term of residence of the International Lodge/International Hall of Residence if applied in time and permitted. Eligibility for Application (a) International Students who are either enrolled or already fixed to be enrolled at UTokyo. (b) ※ Prospective International Students to be sent by overseas partner universities based on their International Academic Exchange Agreements with UTokyo Students on leave of absence are not eligible to apply for their stay at the MIV, except for those who are to reenroll from the month they wish to move-in. FOR SINGLE USE: Shared Type A/C/R (Male) Shared Type A/C/R (Female) *The Shared Type rooms are the single-use private rooms with a shared kitchen, shared showers and shared lavatories. Independent Type E: Only for students enrolled in UTokyo Graduate School to complete Master&#39;s/Doctoral/ Professional degree. Independent Type T: Only for students enrolled in UTokyo Graduate School to complete Master&#39;s/Doctoral/ Professional degree. *Type T has no kitchen and stove. FOR SINGLE and COUPLE USE Independent Type H (only a few left) Type E/T have no washing machine and dryer within the room. Please use the ones in the laundry room.
